Regional cultural and agricultural festivals held in Avola and Corigliano-Rossano

Various regional cultural and agricultural events are taking place in Sicily and Calabria. In Avola, the third stage of the ‘Settimane Blu’ (Blue Weeks) is underway, an itinerant review promoted by the Gac dei Due Mari. The event focuses on the maritime identity of the coastal areas between Syracuse and Ragusa, featuring exhibitions on marine biodiversity, virtual reality experiences of the Isole Pelagie marine protected area, and workshops on turtle habitat protection led by WWF Sicilia Sud Orientale. The program includes culinary demonstrations and tastings of local seafood.

In Corigliano-Rossano, preparations are being finalized for the third edition of the Clementina Festival, scheduled for October 25–27. The festival aims to promote the clementine, a key pillar of the local economy in the Piana di Sibari, while boosting tourism and historical-cultural heritage. Mayor Flavio Stasi noted that the event serves to activate economic development processes by celebrating local agricultural excellence.
