Regional cultural and commercial exchanges strengthen in South America

In Colombia, the city of Pasto is strengthening cooperation and exchange with the Antonio Ante canton in Ecuador. Representatives from Antonio Ante visited Pasto to present Expoverano 2026, a fair scheduled for August 8–10 that will feature fashion, art, culture, and entrepreneurship with 170 participating businesses. This initiative is part of a long-standing sisterhood between the two territories aimed at promoting joint tourism and commercial activities.

In Peru, the Dirección Desconcentrada de Cultura (DDC) of Puno participated in the VI Expo Feria Ecoturística, Artesanal y Cultural de Amantaní 2026. The event focused on the preservation of traditional dances, clothing, and cultural expressions of the island. Led by director Edmundo Cordero Maldonado, the initiative seeks to support local communities in maintaining and transmitting their collective memory and cultural heritage.
