Regional cultural and educational initiatives held in southern Bahia

Various cultural and educational programs recently took place in southern Bahia, Brazil. The television program ‘Terra da Gente’, an affiliate of Rede Globo, conducted ten days of filming across Itacaré, Uruçuca, Itabuna, and Ilhéus. The production focused on the biodiversity, culture, and gastronomy of the Cocoa Coast, highlighting regenerative tourism, birdwatching, and local culinary traditions.

Simultaneously, the Court of Justice of the State of Bahia (TJBA) brought its ‘Memória Presente’ project to Ilhéus and Itabuna. Through lectures at the State University of Santa Cruz (UESC) and the Excellence Faculty of Itabuna (Unex), the initiative explored the history of the Brazilian Constitution and democracy, tracing the country's legal and institutional evolution from the first Constitution in 1824 to the present day.
