Regional cultural and gastronomic traditions celebrated in Trevico and Perugia

Various regional cultural and gastronomic events are scheduled in Italy. In Trevico, the seventh edition of ‘Affettando sotto le stelle’ will take place on August 17, 2026. Organized by Luigi Giovanniello, the event focuses on the town’s historical tuff caves used for aging prosciutto, a product recognized by the Campania Region as a Traditional Agro-food Product. The event includes tours of the historic village and the caves to promote local culinary heritage.

In Perugia, the ‘Famiglia Perugina’ association will hold its 2026 ‘Cena sotto le Stelle’ at the Il Battibecco restaurant. Led by architect Giovanni Brozzetti, the tradition celebrates the night of San Lorenzo by gathering the community to honor local history, religious values, and cultural identity. The event features local dialect poetry to preserve the linguistic heritage of the region.
