Regional cultural and municipal updates in Portugal

Various regional developments and cultural events are taking place across Portugal. In Alcácer do Sal, the new edition of the Alcácer Municipal journal highlights economic and environmental investments, including the arrival of Rede Expressos and tax reductions for families. Additionally, the municipality is hosting the ‘Rally V – V de Vidro’ competition, where glass recycling efforts can earn up to €2,000 for the local Mixed Firefighters to purchase personal protective equipment.

In Sines, the municipality is promoting cognitive stimulation sessions for seniors as part of Mental Health Month. Meanwhile, in Figueira da Foz, the Centro de Artes e Espectáculos will host ‘Drink & Tell – Tintim por Tchim-Tchim’ on October 24. This oral storytelling event features Galician storyteller Avelino González, combining narrative arts with a social atmosphere.
