Regional cultural and scientific updates from Poland

The 47th edition of the ‘Młodzież pamięta®’ project in the Małopolska region and Kraków focused on the life and legacy of Eugeniusz Kwiatkowski, the engineer and politician responsible for the development of Gdynia. To mark the 100th anniversary of the city's founding, the project distributed educational materials, including songbooks, flags, and leaflets, to over 90 municipalities. The distribution took place at the Pedagogical Library in Kraków.

Separately, the Okulistyka 21 Foundation reported its 2024 achievements, highlighted by the organization of five international ophthalmology conferences. Foundation President Professor Andrzej Grzybowski received several honors, including an award from the Polish Academy of Sciences for his work on myopia risk algorithms and artificial intelligence in diagnosing diabetic retinopathy. Grzybowski also served as the first Polish president of the European Association for Vision and Eye Research (EVER).
