Regional cultural and tourism initiatives expand in Argentina and Uruguay

Regional cultural and tourism initiatives are expanding in Argentina and Uruguay. In Argentina, the XLII Fiesta Nacional del Pomelo is set to take place on September 19 and 20 at the Polideportivo Municipal in Laguna Blanca. The event features over 600 registered vendors and a musical lineup including Lázaro Caballo and Hernán Arias.

In Lavalleja, Uruguay, tourism authorities are implementing a pilot project in collaboration with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to centralize regional tourism actions. The initiative involves a governance committee comprising public and private sectors to coordinate planning and avoid redundant efforts. Additionally, the play ‘La Nona’ has been scheduled for two additional free performances at the Teatro Lavalleja on September 10 and 12 following high demand from local audiences.
