Regional cultural events held in Hungary and Vojvodina

The 18th Játék-Szín Regional Amateur Acting Meeting took place at the Csabagyöngye Panoráma hall, featuring 14 teams from Békés, Csongrád-Csanád, and Bács-Kiskun counties. The event emphasizes inclusivity, welcoming performers regardless of age or disability. A notable performance by the Bárka Integrated Social Institution from Kiskunhalas featured a cosmic narrative inspired by László Krasznahorkai, focusing on themes of light and hope.

In Vojvodina, the Association of Hungarian Verse Reciters in Vojvodina is organizing its 16th ‘Arcok üveg mögött’ (Faces Behind Glass) poetry and prose recitation competition. Held at the Bányai János Literary Foundation and Memorial House in Bácsfeketehegy, the contest requires participants to perform Hungarian translations of world literature. The competition is open to children, youth, and adults, covering works ranging from classical translations to contemporary pieces.
