Regional cultural exhibitions open in Valdepeñas and Villaviciosa

Two new cultural exhibitions have opened in Spain, highlighting regional traditions through unique artistic and historical lenses.

In Valdepeñas, artist Chema del Fresno has inaugurated ‘La voz del vino’ at the La Venta del Comendador restaurant. The collection features works created using red wine as a primary medium, substituting or complementing traditional pigments to explore organic textures and tonal gradations. The exhibition reflects the enological culture of the region and spans the artist's last 25 years of work.

In Villaviciosa, the exhibition ‘La Sidra de Papel’ has opened to the public, showcasing the advertising history of the cider industry. Curated by collector Fernando Paredano, the display features over 500 items from his private collection, including labels, posters, postcards, and invoices. The exhibition is organized into three sections: local cider labels from the Cider Region, historical promotional materials dating back to 1872, and a global perspective featuring advertising materials from approximately 60 different countries.
