Regional cultural festivals held in Casatenovo and Comeana

Various local cultural festivals took place in Italy, celebrating regional traditions and history.

In Casatenovo, the Colombina social center hosted the tenth edition of the Sfida degli Zucconi della Brianza. As part of the international Great Pumpkin Commonwealth, the event featured giant pumpkin competitions, including the 28th edition of the ‘Un marengo d’oro’ contest for the largest pumpkin. The festivities included weight competitions and special challenges aimed at presenting specimens near 10 kilograms.

In Comeana, the Festa Etrusca celebrated the region's ancient roots. The event attracted hundreds of visitors to the Montefortini princely tomb area. Activities included archaeological treasure hunts for children, workshops, guided tours of the Artimino museum and Prato Rosello necropolis, and historical reenactments featuring music, dance, and period-style costumes.
