Regional cultural forums focus on preserving industrial and urban heritage

Various cultural initiatives in the region are focusing on the preservation and exploration of heritage. In Subotica, the association ‘Tri tačke’ is organizing a forum titled ‘Heritage in a Living City’ at Inspira Hub. The event aims to discuss how modern urbanism interacts with heritage, including the transformation of former industrial sites into community spaces, such as a former medicine factory being repurposed into a theater.

In Pula, the ‘Pulski susreti’ festival will host the Belgrade-based association ‘Jednostavno rečeno’. The group focuses on researching and preserving the industrial heritage of the former Yugoslavia, emphasizing the human stories and social structures built around former factories. Their program includes multimedia presentations and interviews with former workers from the Uljanik shipyard, alongside interactive poetry readings.
