Regional cultural promotions held in Tokyo and Osaka

Various regional promotion events are being held in Japan to showcase local culture and products. In Tokyo, the Gifu Tokyo antenna shop in Hibiya is hosting ‘Motosu City WEEK!’ from August 29 to September 4, 2026. The event features products from Motosu City, including honey from Chikuma Bee Farm and baked goods from Les 3 loges Gourmandises.

In Osaka, the HOKURIKU+ information hub at KITTE Osaka held a special exhibition from August 12 to August 18, 2026, centered on the ‘Owara Kaze no Bon’ traditional festival from Toyama City. The exhibition used realistic mannequins from Heiwa Mannequin to recreate the elegant movements of dancers in traditional attire. The event also included the sale of local specialties such as traditional sweets, sake, and crafts to promote tourism in the Hokuriku region.
