Regional cycling and cultural tours organized in France

Various regional cycling and cultural excursions are being organized in France, addressing environmental and weather-related themes.

In the Coutances Mer et Bocage territory, the cyclo-discovery tour ‘La Mer Monte, Tous à Vélo !’ is scheduled for late July and August 2026. The 10 km route aims to educate participants on how the region is preparing for rising sea levels and coastal erosion, specifically focusing on sites such as Geffosses, Gouville-sur-mer, Blainville-sur-mer, and Agon-Coutainville. This initiative is part of the ‘Entre deux Havres’ partnership project to implement climate change adaptation strategies.

In Niort, the ‘Arts en Sèvre’ cycling tour, originally scheduled for August 12, has been rescheduled to August 20 due to a recent heatwave. The excursion follows the Sèvre river quays, combining art and nature through the guidance of cultural and environmental mediators. The broader Arts en Sèvre program continues through August 29, offering various exhibition sites and pedestrian walks.
