Regional cycling events scheduled in the Netherlands and Belgium

Various regional cycling events are being organized in the Netherlands and Belgium. In the Dutch municipalities of Westerwolde, Oldambt, and Pekela, a free 36 km cycling tour will take place on September 18, 2026, as part of the National Sports Week. The route, designed by local cycling coaches, connects different community centers where participants can enjoy refreshments, activities, and bike checks.

In Grimbergen, Belgium, the annual recreational cycling event ‘De Lus’ is scheduled for August 15. Participants can choose from several routes, including a 65 km loop through green landscapes between Brussels and Tervuren, a 45 km loop, a 25 km loop, and an 80 km combination. A specialized 11 km children's loop is also available, featuring a scavenger hunt through the Drie Fonteinen domain.
