Regional dance schools earn medals at Italian Championships in Rimini

The Italian Dance Sport Championships were held in Rimini, drawing competitors from across the country. The Scicli‑based school Team Special Touch, led by Maestra Federica Re, captured a large haul of medals, including gold in the Latin style Synchronised under‑12 category and titles for individual dancers Manuel Iemmolo, Aurora Romano, Sabrina Miceli and Aurora Iacono. Re praised the athletes’ dedication, saying, “The greatest satisfaction is seeing the passion, effort and emotion each of them put into these championships.”

The Cilento‑origin Comunale Dance Academy of Piaggine, under Maestra Giusy Comunale, also made history with three podium finishes. Kevin Pacente won the Italian championship and promotion to Class A, Gabriella Maffia became Italian champion and earned promotion to Class A International, and Dario Agresta took bronze with a promotion to Class A International. Comunale highlighted the achievement, noting, “We started from nothing, from a small village in Cilento, and today we show that great dreams can be reached with commitment and passion.”
