Regional development agencies in Romania report on EU funding updates

In Romania, regional development agencies have announced updates regarding European funding opportunities. In the South-Muntenia region, the ADR Sud-Muntenia reported that 28 investment projects were rejected or withdrawn from funding. These projects, which included urban regeneration, school renovations, and infrastructure improvements in municipalities such as Câmpina, Ploiești, and Vălenii de Munte, failed to meet technical conditions or were withdrawn by beneficiaries.

Meanwhile, in the North-East region, ADR Nord-Est has released a guide for micro-enterprises seeking modernization grants. Between September 28 and October 28, 2026, micro-businesses in Iași, Bacău, Suceava, Botoșani, Neamț, and Vaslui can apply for grants ranging from 100,000 to 300,000 EUR per project. An online self-assessment tool has been provided to help applicants estimate their competitiveness before the official submission period.
