Regional development commissions in Portugal hold specialized sessions
The Alentejo Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR Alentejo) is launching a series of awareness sessions on November 3 and 4 to protect the region's archaeological heritage. Held in Grândola, Beja, Portalegre, and Évora, the initiative aims to prevent the destruction of historical remains during agricultural and hydraulic activities. The program targets municipal technicians, farmers, and rural development schools to promote sustainable territory management.
In the Algarve, the CCDR Algarve hosted a session regarding EEA Grants Portugal 2021–2028 funding opportunities. The program, supported by Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein, provides 126.3 million euros to reduce economic and social disparities. Key funding priorities include Blue Growth (57.6 million euros), Green Transition (35 million euros), Culture (10.9 million euros), and combating domestic and gender-based violence.
