Regional development initiatives focus on youth training and eco-entrepreneurship

In Burkina Faso, the ROPI (Référent-Opportunités-Insertion) initiative held a planning meeting in Toécé on September 17, 2026. Led by Mamounata Nikièma, the gathering focused on programming training activities and developing financial resource mobilization strategies for 2027. Key priorities identified by local youth include entrepreneurship training, supporting the Faso Mêbo works in the Nazinon region, and organizing public sanitation activities.

In Butembo, a workshop concluded on September 16, 2026, focused on training eco-entrepreneurs in green business management and the circular economy. Organized by the Commission Diocésaine Justice et Paix/Ressources Naturelles (CDJP/RN), the session emphasized the importance of legal compliance to access bank financing. Participants were encouraged to apply these skills to responsible waste management to improve urban sanitation in the city.
