Regional development initiatives launched in Calabria

Various organizations in Calabria are implementing strategic initiatives to address regional challenges in sports and business.

In the sports sector, the “Cestiste in rete” project has established a strategic alliance between YMCA Siderno, Eutimo Locri, and Junior Basket School Catanzaro. This initiative focuses on female basketball development for athletes aged under 13 to under 17. Coach Stefano Bizzozi, who provided formative support during a five-day visit, noted the project's ambition in managing technical and athletic growth across significant geographic distances within the region.

In the business sector, Confimea Calabria, led by President Massimiliano Esposito, is working to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) facing infrastructural gaps and global market shifts. The association utilizes its Territorial Organizational Model (MOC) to promote innovation, sustainability, and networking among local entrepreneurs to improve competitiveness amidst the fourth industrial revolution.
