Regional development initiatives launched in Florești and Beclean

In Moldova, the city of Florești is developing a new urban revitalization program with support from the North Regional Development Agency (ADR Nord). Following site visits to degraded urban areas, officials plan to establish a consultative commission to identify and select project ideas. This program aims to secure funding from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development to improve infrastructure, public spaces, and living conditions. Similar support is expected to be extended to the cities of Drochia and Edineț.

In Romania, the city of Beclean is working to strengthen its local innovation ecosystem through a partnership with the North-West Regional Development Agency (ADR Nord-Vest). The initiative includes integrating into the INNO investment and innovation platform and establishing a FabLab. The FabLab will serve as a space for prototyping, digital fabrication, and practical learning for students, entrepreneurs, and community members, aiming to bridge the gap between local administration, academia, and the business sector.
