Regional development projects announced across Polish municipalities
Various Polish municipalities and organizations are implementing regional development projects. In Jakubów, KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. is providing support to residents, including 2 million PLN for community needs and 1.9 million PLN for a new Orlik sports complex. This initiative is partly a response to temporary inconveniences caused by the company’s ‘Bariera przeciwfiltracyjna’ investment project.
In Wałcz, the municipality has secured a grant of 126,560.40 PLN for social and educational innovations. These funds will support senior assistance, youth participation in urban planning, and outdoor ecological education in schools.
Additionally, the Olszanica municipality has obtained nearly 27 million PLN for strategic tourism developments. The projects include expanding the Bieszczad. ski station in Wańkowa with a snowpark, artificial ice rink, and sledding slope, as well as establishing a caravanning center in Zwierzyn. These works are expected to be completed by September 2028.
