Regional development projects receive support in Turkey

Various regional development initiatives are receiving support to boost agricultural and cultural productivity in Turkey. In Uzunköprü, the Trakya Development Agency has approved two projects under its 2026 Agricultural and Rural Development Technical Support Program.

One project, led by the Uzunköprü Contemporary Women's Initiative Production and Business Cooperative, aims to preserve the traditional Edirnekari art form by transforming cultural heritage into economic value through women-led collection design. The second project, submitted by the Uzunköprü Commodity Exchange, focuses on enhancing agricultural productivity through data-driven soil fertility analysis and producer consultancy services.

In Kırıkkale, the Portable Pen Project is being implemented in the Keskin district with 50 percent grant support from the KOP Regional Development Administration. The initiative provides modern, insulated, and portable livestock shelters to small ruminant farmers. These structures are designed to improve animal welfare during harsh winter conditions and increase meat and milk yields by reducing traditional housing costs.
