Regional developments in Ouricuri and Itacoatiara

In Ouricuri, Pernambuco, asphalt paving has commenced on Avenida Tamboril, which will be renamed Avenida Chico Coelho. The project, funded by the Government of Pernambuco with an investment of nearly R$ 4 million, aims to support urban expansion in an area seeing increased residential and commercial development. The infrastructure work includes the installation of a bike lane, new lighting poles, and other mobility improvements. The avenue provides access to IF Sertão, the UPE pole, and the Frei Damião Sanctuary.

In Itacoatiara, the municipal government held a cultural and literary fair at the Escola Municipal Irmãs Dorotéia. The event, themed ‘Roots that preserve history, knowledge that strengthens the present and cultures that inspire the future’, focused on the diversity of Amazonian indigenous peoples. Students presented representations of eight different indigenous groups through traditional foods, crafts, dances, and attire to promote cultural learning within the school community.
