Regional disaster prevention initiatives launched in Hijuelas and Huaraz

In Hijuelas, Chile, the Provincial Presidential Delegation of Quillota and the Municipality of Hijuelas are organizing a Provincial Disaster Risk Management Fair. Held at the Municipal Stadium, the event features various institutions including Senapred, Bomberos, Carabineros, the Army, and CONAF. The initiative aims to strengthen community preparedness for the summer season, specifically addressing risks such as forest fires.

In Huaraz, Peru, the Provincial Municipality of Huaraz is conducting training sessions in schools through its Civil Defense Sub-management. These sessions teach students how to respond to natural disasters, identify safe zones, and promote the use of emergency kits at home to extend preventive knowledge to their families.
