Regional District of North Okanagan imposes long‑weekend water restrictions in Enderby, BC
The Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) announced an outdoor watering restriction for all customers on the Mabel Lake Water system beginning Thursday, July 30 and lasting until August 4. The measure is aimed at preserving reservoir capacity for essential domestic use during historically high demand on the August long weekend.
During the restriction, non‑essential outdoor water use such as sprinklers, pool filling, garden ponds, vehicle washing and cleaning outdoor surfaces is prohibited. Residents may water plants by hand with a watering can or a hose equipped with a shut‑off nozzle. A Stage 2 water‑conservation schedule resumes on August 4, permitting sprinkler use only between 7 p.m. and 10 a.m. on specific days based on even or odd street‑address endings.
