Regional economic development initiatives focus on trade and industry in Elazığ and Sivas

Regional leaders and candidates in Turkey are focusing on enhancing local production and trade connectivity. In Elazığ, Nurullah Öner emphasized the importance of trade fairs in showcasing the city’s production potential in sectors such as agriculture, livestock, food, and industry. Öner stated that future efforts will focus on stronger promotion and long-term planning to ensure participants achieve tangible commercial results and connect with new markets.

In Sivas, Mustafa Eken, a candidate for the presidency of the Sivas Chamber of Commerce and Industry (STSO), is campaigning on a platform of regional investment and production. During visits to the Hafik and Zara districts, Eken advocated for expanding economic development beyond the city center to all 16 districts. He highlighted the significance of the Demirağ Organized Industrial Zone being designated as an attraction center and pledged to actively seek out investors to boost local exports and manufacturing.
