Regional economic updates: Albanian fuel contracts and Kosovo customs revenue

In Albania, Petrolifera Italo Albanese has secured a contract worth approximately 5.29 million euros for the storage and loading/unloading of fuel at the TEC Lundrues site in Vlorë. The 19-month contract was awarded through a negotiation process rather than a standard competitive tender, with the winning bid representing 99.95% of the limit fund.

In Kosovo, the maximum allowed price for diesel has continued its downward trend, dropping by three cents to 1.71 euros per liter. Meanwhile, gasoline and gas prices remain unchanged at 1.53 euros and 0.63 euros per liter, respectively.

Additionally, Kosovo Customs reported collecting approximately 1.3 billion euros in revenue so far in 2026. According to Director General Agron Llugaliu, this represents a nearly 6% increase compared to the same period last year, driven by improved efforts against the informal economy and expanded free trade agreements.
