Regional emergencies reported in Durazno and Cundinamarca

In Durazno, Uruguay, local officials have raised concerns regarding three primary issues affecting the department. Heavy truck traffic within urban areas is causing damage to utility wiring and nearby structures, leading to repair costs for residents and businesses. Additionally, reports have highlighted social emergencies, including families living in tents near the new bridge, and unresolved land ownership issues in Santa Bernardina.

In Colombia, heavy rains have caused significant emergencies in the Cundinamarca department. In Fusagasugá, a drainage collapse and flooding led to the death of 72-year-old Luz Marina Ospina Poveda. While a 20-year-old and a six-year-old were rescued from an affected home, the flooding also impacted several neighborhoods and caused trees to fall on roads. Similar flooding and property damage were reported in Cajicá, Gachancipá, and Sopó.
