Regional employment and industrial initiatives in Fukushima and Fukuoka

In Fukushima Prefecture, the Fukushima Innovation Coast Framework Promotion Organization is organizing a business tour scheduled for November 26, 2026. Departing from Aizuwakamatsu City, the tour aims to foster collaboration between local companies and those expanding into the Innovation Coast region. Participants will visit companies including Aizawa High Voltage Concrete Co., Ltd., Asano Itoshi Co., Ltd., and Berg Fukushima Co., Ltd. to observe reconstruction progress and cutting-edge technologies.

In Fukuoka Prefecture, authorities are launching a series of joint job fairs specifically for the construction industry to address chronic labor shortages and an aging workforce. The recruitment drive includes matching events in Kurume, Iizuka, Kitakyushu, and Fukuoka City between November 2025 and February 2026. The initiative seeks to improve the industry's appeal through digital transformation (DX) and better working conditions to ensure the succession of technical skills to younger generations.
