Regional entrepreneurship initiatives launched in Mexico and Chile
In Mexico, the administration of Governor Julio Menchaca Salazar is supporting entrepreneurs with disabilities through initiatives like the San Francisco Pachuca 2026 Fair. Programs such as 'Vive independiente' have worked with the Universidad Politécnica de Pachuca to provide clinical studies and support for 41 individuals with intellectual disabilities. These efforts aim to foster autonomy and self-employment, exemplified by projects like 'Aromas de inclusión,' a cosmetic soap business developed to promote independence for participants.
In Chile, the inauguration of the Hub Alto Hospicio Innovation and Prototyping Center aims to benefit over 200 local ventures annually. The center provides access to advanced technological tools, including industrial technical equipment and 3D printing. This initiative is a collaborative effort between the municipality, the Alto Hospicio Municipal Corporation, the CFT Estatal de Tarapacá, and the Sercotec Business Center, designed to decentralize technology and stimulate social economic development.
