Regional events announced for child development and arts in 2026

Two distinct regional events focused on childhood development and engagement have been announced for 2026.

In San Pedro Sula, Honduras, the Expo Bebé 2026 will take place on October 28 and 29 at the Hotel Copantl Convention Center. Organized by Hotel Copantl, the event aims to promote informed parenting through educational sessions on gynecology, pregnancy, nutrition, and early childhood stimulation. Proceeds from the event will support improvements to the Pediatric Ward at the Hospital Mario Catarino Rivas.

In Bogotá, Colombia, the third International Biennial of Arts for Childhood will run from October 18 to November 1, 2026. Organized by IDARTES, the biennial will explore themes of play, territory, environment, and digital languages. The program includes an academic week at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and activities at the Virgilio Barco Public Library, featuring international guests such as Canadian music educator Benjamin Bolden and American designer Cas Holman.
