Regional fall festivals scheduled for October

Several regional fall festivals are scheduled for October. In Morrilton, the 3rd Annual Fall Fest will take place on Saturday, October 10, at the Conway County Fairgrounds. The event begins with the Moose Run, a 5K race in downtown Morrilton, followed by activities at the fairgrounds including a car and motorcycle show, a chili cook-off, a hot dog eating contest, and a petting zoo. The festival was established to raise funds for local charities in memory of Dr. Chloe Vaught.

In Texarkana, the Annual Fall Festival is returning to Spring Lake Park on Thursday, October 15. The event, running from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, features activities such as hay rides, face painting, bounce houses, and costume contests for both children and pets. The festivities will conclude with a ‘Movie Under the Stars’ screening of the film Casper at dusk.
