Regional festivals celebrate traditions in Cierlicko-Kościelce and Czarnia

Local communities in Cierlicko-Kościelce and Czarnia are hosting traditional celebrations. In Cierlicko-Kościelce, the feast of St. Lawrence featured religious services in both Polish and Czech, accompanied by a fairground with carousels and traditional stalls. The event also included a photography exhibition and a memorial room dedicated to Polish aviators Franciszek Żwirko and Stanisław Wigura.

In Czarnia, the annual harvest festival, ‘Sunday in the Country in Czarnia’, showcases Kurpian folklore. The program includes regional dance performances, a ‘Kurpian Wedding’ spectacle, and various folk music ensembles. The festivities conclude with evening concerts featuring musical acts such as Nowator and Everest.
