Regional festivals draw crowds in Igarassu and São José de Piranhas

Regional festivals and anniversary celebrations are drawing large crowds across Brazil. In Igarassu, the city is marking its 491st anniversary with a series of musical and religious events. Recent performances included Péricles and Felipe Amorim, with upcoming scheduled acts such as Taty Girl and Priscila Senna. The festivities also include a religious program dedicated to the patron saints Cosme and Damião.

In São José de Piranhas, Paraíba, the Micaranhas Festival 2026 opened with significant public participation. The opening night featured performances by Rey Vaqueiro, Fernandinha, and Thiago Fernandes. The event, which is part of the official state calendar of Paraíba, is expected to continue through the weekend with scheduled performances by Léo Santana and others.
