Regional festivals implement enhanced public transport services
Various regional festivals are implementing enhanced public transportation measures to accommodate attendees.
In Macapá, Brazil, the Expofeira 2026 event at the Parque de Exposições da Fazendinha is offering a free shuttle service. The special bus line operates daily from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, serving both local residents and visitors from other municipalities until the event concludes on August 16. The initiative aims to reduce vehicle traffic near the park while providing a safe and cost-effective option for families and entrepreneurs.
In Maricá, the Festa da Padroeira, scheduled from August 13 to 16, will see an increase in transportation services. The Empresa Pública de Transportes (EPT) is providing over 50 extra trips via the 'Tarifa Zero' bus system to assist passengers returning home during the early morning hours. These reinforced routes focus on connecting the Barra area, the central terminal, and various neighborhoods to manage the expected increase in public movement during the musical performances and activities.
