Regional festivals in Portugal promote local crafts and gastronomy
Various regional festivals in Portugal are highlighting local craftsmanship and gastronomy. In Pampilhosa da Serra, the 27th Craft and Gastronomy Fair is taking place at Praça do Regionalismo. The event features approximately 70 exhibitors showcasing diverse goods, including confectionery, jewelry, sewing, decoration, and sculpture. Local associations and parishes are also participating, with 14 stands dedicated to regional food and drinks to support the financial sustainability of local collectives.
In Esposende, the “O Verão Sai à Rua” initiative is being held at Largo Rodrigues Sampaio from August 14 to 19. Part of the Esposende Summer 2026 program, the event aims to promote local agri-food products and handmade crafts such as woodwork, embroidery, and ceramics. The initiative seeks to engage tourists and residents through commercial opportunities and musical entertainment.
