Regional film screenings announced in Paraguay and Chile

Cine de Barrio in Paraguay is hosting Friday screenings of the acclaimed film ‘Narciso’. Directed by Marcelo Martinessi and based on the book by Guido Rodríguez Alcalá, the drama is set in 1959 Asunción and explores themes of power and freedom during a military regime. The screenings take place at Defensa Nacional 737, Las Mercedes, with tickets priced at G. 40.000.

In Chile, the Festival Felina 2026 will feature a free screening of Cristián Sánchez’s film ‘El Santo Oficio’ on October 24 at the University of Talca’s Extension Center. The film follows a writer attempting to film his first movie during the COVID-19 pandemic. The event will include a discussion with producer Florencia Dupont. Additionally, the festival will show ‘El Claro’ by Maira Carrasco on October 30 at the Linares Campus.
