Regional folklore and literary festivals held in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina

Regional cultural festivals are being held in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, focusing on folklore and literary heritage.

In Kuštilj, Serbia, the "Dani Kuštilja 2026" event officially opened, featuring the first bilingual literary festival, "Tragovima svetlosti – kroz pesničko leto." Organized by the news-publishing institution "Libertatea" in collaboration with the Association of World Writers from Bucharest, the festival celebrates the 80th anniversary of the "Lumina" Literary Circle, founded by poet Vasko Popa in 1946.

Simultaneously, the 14th International Folklore and Sevdah Festival "Dani Ćaske – Puračić 2026" is taking place in Puračić, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The event brings together over 300 participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, and Turkey to showcase traditional songs, dances, and folk costumes, with special programming dedicated to the sevdalinka musical tradition.
