Regional food festivals return to Bideford and Brecon
Two regional food festivals are scheduled to take place in the United Kingdom this October, highlighting local producers and regional flavors.
In Bideford, a one-day festival organized by the not-for-profit social enterprise 'eat' will return on Saturday, October 24. The event expects over 70 food and drink producers, most of whom are located within 30 miles of the area. The festival aims to support local businesses and community connection, offering a variety of artisan goods, including baked items, meats, brews, and coffee. The event is free to attend and features inclusive dietary options such as vegan and gluten-free products.
The Brecon Beacons Food Festival will return to Brecon Market Hall on Saturday, October 3. Now in its 29th year, the festival will feature more than 60 producers from across Wales. The event will be officially opened by Welsh rugby legend Ken Owens and will include performances by local choirs and an interactive Welsh Tasting Table. A Park & Ride service will be available to manage attendance, with donations supporting the charity Accessibility Powys.
