Regional food festivals scheduled in Bonarcado and Torrile

Various regional food festivals are set to take place in Italy, celebrating local culinary traditions.

In Bonarcado, the first edition of the Sagra de Su Pabassinu Bonarcadesu will be held on Sunday, October 25. The event focuses on the preparation of 2,000 ‘pabassinos’, a traditional sweet made with grapes, walnuts, almonds, spices, extra virgin olive oil, and sourdough. Local volunteers and Pro loco members will demonstrate the ancient preparation methods to ensure the knowledge is passed to younger generations.

In Torrile, Parma, the ‘Di che pasta sei?’ project will take place over the weekend at the Circolo Il Portico. The event highlights the ‘tOrTELLO di Torrile’ through a home-cooking competition, pasta-making workshops, and a market of agro-food excellences. The festival features collaborations with chef Antonella Ricci and pastry chef Tommaso Foglia, offering a blend of Emilian cuisine and southern Italian flavors.
