Regional food festivals scheduled in Sacrofano and Vigarano Pieve

Several regional food festivals are scheduled to take place in Italy, highlighting local culinary traditions.

In Sacrofano, near the Parco di Veio, the 21st Sagra della Pappardella al Cinghiale will be held on October 17 and 18, 2026. The event focuses on fresh pappardelle with wild boar ragù, alongside other local specialties such as stewed wild boar, grilled meats, and traditional desserts like ciambelline al vino.

In Vigarano Pieve, the Festa del Cappelletto d’Autunno will run from September 24 to 27 and October 1 to 4. The festival celebrates Ferrara's traditional cappelletti, offered in various forms including broth, cream, truffle, and ragù. The menu also features local specialties like 'ricchi e poveri' (cappelletti in bean broth) and grilled meats. The event maintains a plastic-free policy using compostable materials.
