Regional football results: Penzance and St Austell draw as East Cowes Vics secure first win

In the South West Peninsula League Premier West, title contenders Penzance and St Austell played to a 1-1 draw at Penlee Park. Jacob Turner scored for Penzance in the 18th minute, but Rubin Wilson equalized for St Austell following a Kieron Bishop cross. The match saw significant injuries, with Penzance players Mark Richards and Kyle Marks forced off the pitch.

Elsewhere in the division, Wadebridge Town secured a 3-2 victory over Mousehole in the first game under manager Paul Rowe. Helston Athletic also achieved a 6-1 win against Wendron Unite.

In the Wessex Premier, East Cowes Vics earned their first victory of the season with a 3-2 away win against Petersfield Town. After George Comben gave Petersfield an early lead, Josh Neale scored twice for the Vics to turn the match around. New signing Gabe Wall added a third goal before Austen Giles scored a late goal for the hosts.
