Regional football updates in Brazil

The first phase of the Acre Under-11 State Championship will feature a double round of matches this Thursday at the Florestinha stadium. The schedule includes matchups between CT da Baixada and Xavier Maia, followed by Santa Cruz against Chapecoense. Santa Cruz enters the match looking to maintain a 100% win rate.

In São Paulo, the 2027 Paulistão tournament format has been confirmed, maintaining the previous edition's structure where teams play eight matches in a single general classification phase. The technical council is scheduled for November 10 to determine opponents via a draw involving four pots based on recent performance. The top eight teams will advance to the quarterfinals, while the bottom two will be relegated to Série A2.

Financial discussions regarding participation quotas are expected at the Paulistão technical council, as the Federação Paulista de Futebol faces challenges in securing sponsors due to restrictions on sports betting companies and the judicial recovery of former master sponsor Casas Bahia.
