Regional football updates in Lisbon and Congonhas

The Associação de Futebol de Lisboa (AFL) has announced the schedule for its 2026/2027 season draws. Starting August 20, the draws will cover various futsal categories, including the Women's Senior District Championship, the AFL Decathlon Cup, and youth categories for Sub-19, Sub-17, and Sub-15. Additionally, the AFL confirmed the 16 clubs participating in the I Divisão TrueClinic futsal competition.

In Brazil, the 2026 Campeonato Congonhense begins on Sunday, August 16. Organized by the Liga Congonhense de Desportos with support from the Congonhas City Hall, the tournament features matches across multiple local fields, including Vila Rica, Murtinho, and Pequeri. The competition includes categories A and B, with the final scheduled for October 18. The event also features the Taça Congonhas and the Copa Congonhas tournaments.
