Regional French entities launch calls for participatory council members

Various French regional entities are seeking new members for their consultative and participatory councils to influence local public policy and territorial development.

The Parc national de forêts has opened applications for its Economic, Social, and Cultural Council (CESC) for the upcoming term. The council consists of 51 members representing diverse sectors, including agriculture, forestry, tourism, and education. The body serves as a consultative space to provide expertise and civil society perspectives to the park's administration. Candidates must apply by August 31, 2026, for a six-year mandate involving three plenary sessions per year.

Similarly, Grand Besançon Métropole is calling for volunteers to join its Participatory Development Council (CDP) for the 2026-2032 mandate. Residents and local actors can apply until September 15. The CDP is tasked with advising on major regional issues such as ecological transition, mobility, housing, and economic development through thematic workshops designed to inform the decisions of community elected officials.
