Regional gastronomic and cultural festivals promote local entrepreneurship
Various regional gastronomic and cultural events were held to support local communities and entrepreneurship. In Bolivia, the “Itadakimas” Japanese Gastronomic and Cultural Festival took place at Expocruz. Organized by the Fundación Nacional Vida Segura with support from the Consulate of Japan and the Japanese Social Center, the event featured over twenty businesses, including restaurants and artisans, showcasing Japanese-inspired cuisine and culture.
The festival served a charitable purpose, with proceeds intended to fund the foundation's programs in health, education, sports, and culture for vulnerable sectors.
In Chile, the “Vivo la repostería Chillán” event concluded successfully in Chillán. This free gastronomic gathering was a public-private partnership between the municipality's Directorate of Economic and Productive Development (Didepro) and the company Dispack. The event brought together approximately 30 pastry and craft entrepreneurs to promote local commerce and collaborative learning through masterclasses, exhibitions, and direct sales.
