Regional German associations conduct cultural excursions

Various German regional associations recently conducted organized excursions focused on local history and culture.

The Verband Deutscher Altpfadfindergilden e. V. held a winter trip to Würzburg. The itinerary included visits to the Würzburg Old Town, the Marienberg Fortress, and a guided wine tasting tour at the Juliusspital, which is noted as the world's largest Silvaner winery. The group also visited Wertheim am Main during their return journey.

Additionally, the Geschichts- und Heimatverein Villingen e. V. organized a trip to Sigmaringen. Participants visited a modern district heating plant located on the former Graf Stauffenberg barracks, which utilizes various energy sources including wood chips and solar power. The excursion also featured a guided tour of Sigmaringen Castle to explore the history of the House of Hohenzollern.
