Regional German football updates: FC Union Heilbronn and VfB Auerbach suffer losses

In regional German football, FC Union Heilbronn and VfB Auerbach suffered defeats in recent matches.

FC Union Heilbronn lost 1-3 to Sportfreunde Schwäbisch Hall in the third round of the wfv-Pokal. Despite playing with only seven outfield players for 70 minutes due to injuries and absences, the team fought back from a 0-2 deficit. Mirnis Salija scored a header from a corner to make it 1-2, but the Verbandsliga side secured the win late in the game.

VfB Auerbach began their Oberliga season with a 1-2 loss against VfL Halle 96. After conceding an early goal in the 4th minute, Auerbach equalized through a Cedric Graf header in the 40th minute. Although Auerbach created numerous high-quality chances throughout the second half, they were unable to take the lead, eventually conceding a decisive header by Dos Santos following a corner in the 75th minute.
