Regional governments announce aid for fuel costs and fire recovery

In the Los Ríos region of Chile, authorities have announced the extension of a fuel subsidy through December. The benefit provides 100,000 pesos monthly to taxi drivers, collective taxi operators, school transport providers, and artisanal fishermen. This support is distributed via an electronic wallet associated with BancoEstado accounts to assist those affected by fuel costs.

In Spain, the Community of Madrid is set to approve an 8 million euro aid package for those affected by fires in the Sierra Oeste. The funds include subsidies of up to 100,000 euros per destroyed home and a specific line of credit for farmers and ranchers to help recover the local economic and productive fabric.
