Regional half marathons celebrate anniversaries in Argentina and Chile

Regional running events are celebrating major milestones in South America. In El Brete, Argentina, the 35th Anniversary Half Marathon is scheduled for September 13. The event features distances of 5, 10, and 21 kilometers and includes notable athletes such as Agustín Da Silva, a local record holder, along with Karen Ponce, Lucas Bareiro, and ultra-marathoner Javier Zannino.

In Valparaíso, Chile, the city is preparing for the 20th anniversary of its traditional half marathon on November 29. Organized by E-Sport, the race will feature 5 and 21-kilometer routes, including a path to the Faro Punta Ángeles. Organizers aim to use this milestone to build momentum for the return of the Valparaíso International Marathon next year.
